Each year, an estimated 9 million Americans have their identities stolen by criminals who gain access to our most personal information.  Identity theft is serious and can cause the victim to lose out on job opportunities, be denied loans for education, housing or cars because of faulty information on credit reports.  In rare cases, they may even be arrested for crimes they didn’t commit.  Victims can spend ridiculous amounts of time and money painstakingly attempting to restore their good name and credit rating. 
 
Wouldn’t you like to be more aware about how prevalent identity theft is and how you could easily fall victim to this insidious crime?  Join us for a presentation that will both inform you about this crime and educate you as to how you can take steps to prevent this from happening to you. 
 
Frank Suponcic, our Lake County Recorder and a CPA with Skoda Minotti and will share with us real-life incidences of how identity theft happens, what it does to its victims, and how we can prevent this from happening to us both on a personal level and in our businesses.
